The sun blasted hellscape of summer is entering its final stretch, leaving in its place cooler temps and an onslaught of horror goodies. Here are some movies that look pretty interesting as we head into the last days of summer and the first days of fall. Here we go!
This looks interesting, and even though they blast “Bret Easton Ellis” across the screen, I wonder how much he was actually involved in this. Or if him being involved is even a good thing. Regardless this looks kind of interesting.
I love 80s slashers, so this one has me excited. The trailer does not do anything groundbreaking, but I like the vibe and that house is super creepy. I’m hoping for a fast paced story with some creative kills.
I really like this one. What happens to a person after seeing all their friends hacked to bits? It’s a great concept, I’m very excited to see how plays out. It premieres at Frightfest next month, so it could be out this fall or it sometime next year.
This one could be fun. I like the magical infection angle.
Trick r’Treat remains one of my favorite horror movies and this seems to very similar. Since we are never getting an actual sequel to Trick r’Treat, I’m cool with this and am excited for the horror craziness teased here.
This one looks like a disgusting good time. It owes a lot to The Fly(remake) but I’m willing to give it a chance based off what is here.
There are a lot of big horror movie releases coming over the next few months, from Crimson Peak to the Krampus to the final Paranormal Activity. Also horror/comedies like Goosebumps and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse. These are a few smaller movies that might get lost in the shuffle. Hope you find something you like.
